Carl Olson and Everett 'Ev' Nelson started the Uptown Golf School in Duluth, Minnesota around 1932. The school was located on Michigan Street and also held many ping-pong tournaments as a side business. In 1934, Nelson renamed the school, "Ev Nelson's Golf School". He was a municipal links pro at the Enger Park and Lester Park municipal courses who used only his left arm as his right was paralyzed due to an illness. Quality black tee.
